Tuesday day19
Good afternoon all. Again only a few things to report. They removed the staples from most of Shawnas cuts from the crash. The cuts are healing beautifully. The lung infection/mucus is shrinking due to medication and aggressive physio. The Doctors are still concerned with fevers which spike above the tylenol treatment. They are looking elsewhere now for infections such as the bladder, the blood abd other areas. She is otherwise resting well and continues to be upheld by God's grace. We are thankful for the continued prayers of his saints and continue to receive strength from that as well. It is unfortunate that as we sit here it tends to become routine. The pain and suffering we have seen is really tough. We talk to others and try to be a comfort to them. It is unfortunate for some though that they miss the only comfort in life and death, namely belonging body and soul to our Saviour. What a comfort who could ask for more! Al and Deb

What is there to say but again what a blessing we have in our Lord Jesus Christ! May HE continue to hold you all up in His love and care and continue to put His hand of healing on Shawna - "Let not your heart be troubled"

We would like you to know that you are daily in our prayers. God has sustained Shawna's life to this day and He has a plan for her. We also pray that God will continue to give you strength and perseverence in the days and months ahead. We will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. You are not alone because "the Lord watches over you-the Lord is your shade at you right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore."

How nice to hear that the lung infection is apparently going away and that Shawna's external wounds are healing nicely.
We pray that the doctors will soon find the cause of her spiking temp and be able to treat that aggressively, too.
How wonderful it is that you can be witnesses to those whom you meet in the hospital setting. We are sure that the example you show as you deal with the seriousness of Shawna's injuries is not lost on those who see it.
May our Heavenly Father continue to strengthen all of you and may He grant Shawna a complete recovery, if it is His Will.

Dear Shawna's loved ones
Thanks again for your faithful postings. Our prayer for you all is that you may continue to see Gods hand in all this, knowing that the out come of it all is to His praise and glory. Albeit difficult to accept at times. You say it is unfortunate that as you sit there everyday, that the daily strenght you receive is almost taking for granted. We can be so thankful though that eventhough we sometime feel that way, the Lord never takes His loving, healing hand away from His children.
What a blessing that His care for us does not depend on how we feel. but it depends on His faithfulness, and His promise given to you all and also shawna. Not a hair falls from our head without His knowledge.
May we all accept this all in faith.

Just recently heard of all you are dealing with at this time. My prayers and thoughts are with you. "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Ps. 139. Not only the number of days, but how they will unfold.

Reading this blog has become the highlight of my day. To see God blessing the doctors with the skills needed. Surely these doctors must be receiving wisdom above their facilities.
Every time I read the blog the medications are doing miracles. And if in one blog the situation worsens, its all balanced and sorted out by the next day.
Step by step, day by day God is imparting His healing mercies.
Our God is an awesome God.
Be encouraged! You are being a witness for the Lord as you stay at Shawna's side. You are an inspiration for all of us who are lifting you in prayer daily and you are being an example of God's work in your life to all of those around you who do not know Him. Perhaps this is the first time they have ever seen the work of the Holy Spirit in such a tangible way. May God's Name continue to be praised!

We look forward everyday again to being able to keep up with Shawna's progress through this blog. God hand is so evident in Shawna's care by the loving nurses and wonderful doctors and in the way He upholds you day in and day out. I know that you and your families are truly God's witness in that waiting room. May He be with you again today and give you the strength and comfort that you so dearly need. I know from experience how long the days can be, when you are walking those hospital halls, waiting for some positive news. Be assured that the Lord is there with you every moment of the day. He never sleeps nor slumbers. He is upholding you with His love, and is using you as a witness of His loving care, to those around you. We are so thankful for the faithful up-dates we may receive each day, and this blog has become a wonderful reminder of what a blessing we have in being part of the communion of saints. We continue to bring you and Shawna before the Father's throne each day. May He continue to give you strength and comfort as you go into each new day.
